On Friday, June 20, 2025, the Royal Family and the Moroccan people will celebrate the 55th birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, in an atmosphere marked by pride, national unity, and renewed bonds of loyalty and affection that tie Moroccans to His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the Royal Family.
His Royal Highness was born in 1970 in the capital, Rabat. He pursued higher education at the Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences, obtaining a degree in Public Law and a diploma in Comparative Law with honors in 1993. In 2001, he earned a PhD in Law from the University of Bordeaux, France, with high distinction and a recommendation for publication. His dissertation was titled: “The Organization of the Islamic Conference: A Study of a Specialized International Organization.”
Prince Moulay Rachid is known for his ongoing engagement in cultural, sports, and social affairs. He presides over several national institutions, including:
- The Royal Moroccan Golf Federation
- The Marrakech International Film Festival Foundation
- The Hassan II Golf Trophy Association
- The Royal Federation of Hunting and Shooting Sports
He has also represented His Majesty the King in numerous official national and international events, such as:
- Chairing the extraordinary General Assembly of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation (June 2025)
- Inaugurating the 30th edition of the International Book and Publishing Fair in Rabat
- Official attendance at the circumcision ceremony of Princes Moulay Ahmed and Moulay Abdessalam in Fez
- Representing the King at the reopening of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris (December 2024)
- Participating in the official reception of French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron
- Presiding over the opening of the 21st Marrakech International Film Festival
- Inaugurating the 15th edition of the El Jadida Horse Show
This celebration is a cherished national occasion that reaffirms the deep-rooted connection between the throne and the people, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
