Over 182,000 Monitoring Operations Conducted to Combat Inflation and Protect Purchasing Power

Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah Alaoui, revealed that more than 182,000 monitoring operations had been carried out up to the end of May 2025. These efforts are part of ongoing measures to monitor prices and safeguard the purchasing power of citizens.

During a presentation before Parliament, the minister stated that approximately 12,000 violations were recorded related to non-compliance with price regulations and product quality standards. This is within a national mobilization to tackle unlawful inflation, especially regarding essential goods.

These monitoring operations fall under a government policy aimed at regulating national markets, strengthening deterrence mechanisms against monopolistic and speculative practices, while ensuring the regular supply of markets and protecting Moroccan consumers.
