The General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration announced that 435 male and female prisoners successfully passed the Baccalaureate exams during the current 2025 academic year. This achievement represents a significant milestone reflecting the effectiveness of rehabilitation programs inside penitentiary institutions.
Among the successful candidates, 131 prisoners obtained distinctions ranging from “Good” to “Very Good,” demonstrating the inmates’ dedication to education despite incarceration circumstances. This also confirms the impact of the rehabilitation and reintegration efforts supervised by the Delegation in partnership with the Ministry of National Education and various civil society actors.
These results come within the integrative approach adopted by the Moroccan state, which considers education and training inside prisons as a key lever for the positive reintegration of inmates into society after serving their sentences.
