In a sophisticated and well-coordinated security operation, judicial police units in Tiflet, in close collaboration with their counterparts in Khmissat, successfully foiled a major attempt to traffic drugs and psychotropic substances in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The operation, built on precise intelligence provided by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), resulted in the arrest of three individuals, aged between 26 and 37, suspected of involvement in this criminal activity.
The security strike, conducted in effective coordination with Royal Gendarmerie units in the Sidi Allal Bahraoui area, began with the apprehension of two suspects caught in the act while transporting a quantity of drugs in a light vehicle. A thorough search and seizure operation uncovered a substantial amount of narcotic medical tablets, totaling 4,200 pills, in addition to doses of cocaine in their possession.
Investigations and inquiries did not stop there but continued intensively, enabling investigators to identify a third individual suspected of participating in this criminal network. This suspect was arrested in the rural area of “Ain Johra,” effectively dismantling the threads of this criminal operation.
The three suspects have been placed under theoretical custody, pending a judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office. These measures aim to uncover all the circumstances and details of the case, identify and pursue any remaining accomplices, and trace the potential extensions of this criminal activity, which threatens the health and safety of society.
