The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) announced today, Sunday, June 8, a new list of appointments to leadership positions within its decentralized services across several cities. This move is part of an ongoing strategy to renew leadership within the national police and promote rotation in key responsibilities.
This initiative aligns with a modern vision aimed at giving qualified young talents the opportunity to lead security services throughout the Kingdom, while fostering management practices based on efficiency and innovation.
According to security sources, DGSN Director General Abdellatif Hammouchi approved the appointment of 14 new police officials in public security, general intelligence, and administrative management. The appointments notably include the new Head of the Mohit Security District under the Rabat Police Directorate, along with the appointment of deputy heads for the Ain Sebaa-Hay Mohammadi, Hay Hassani, and Bernoussi-Zenata districts in Casablanca, as well as the Head of the Regional Police Station in Bir Jdid.
New appointments were also made to lead traffic and road safety divisions in Dakhla, Sefrou, Mohammedia, and the Mediouna district of Casablanca. In addition, new police station heads were appointed at the Agadir Port Security District and the Dakhla Regional Security Directorate.
In the fields of general intelligence and administrative management, the new appointments include a head of the regional general intelligence unit in Errachidia, the head of the regional administrative service in Taza, and the head of the administrative branch in the Ouislane Security District near Meknes.
A security source stressed that these appointments are part of an ongoing institutional dynamic aimed at improving police human resource performance and ensuring a smooth rotation among staff. The focus is on assigning leadership roles to highly competent and experienced officers capable of addressing evolving security challenges and enhancing public safety for citizens.
