The Minister of Interior issued a new decree No. 1090.25 dated 28 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1446 (corresponding to May 26, 2025), establishing four new administrative annexes within the Ain Chekaf commune, located in Moulay Yacoub province. This decision aims to strengthen administrative organization and improve the quality of public services provided to citizens at the local level.
The decree is based on the Royal Decree No. 1.59.351 concerning the administrative division of the Kingdom, the Dahir No. 2.15.402 defining the number of districts, prefectures, and communes, as well as related organizational laws.
Article 1 of the decree stipulates the division of Ain Chekaf commune into four administrative annexes, with their geographical jurisdiction and names specified in the attached tables and maps. Article 3 repeals the previous decree No. 16.1491 issued in 2016, which had established only two administrative annexes in the commune.
The implementation of this decree is entrusted to the Governor of Moulay Yacoub province, and it will be published in the Official Gazette to come into effect.
This new administrative division aims to bring the administration closer to the citizens and facilitate their access to public services, within the framework of modernizing local governance and enhancing territorial administration in Ain Chekaf commune.
