The communication cell of the Regional Health Directorate of the Fes-Meknes region has updated the toll of the tragedy following the collapse of a residential building in Hay Hassani, Fes, after the death of one of the injured individuals who had been receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at Al-Ghassani Hospital. As a result, the death toll has risen to 10 victims.
Regarding the injured, the Regional Health Directorate confirmed that the health status of the victims varies significantly. Three children are in the pediatric surgery department, along with two cases in the general surgery department. Another case was transferred to the neurosurgery department.
Rescue teams and the Civil Protection continue their efforts in search of any missing individuals under the rubble, while local and security authorities maintain intensive surveillance of the area.
This new information underscores the severity of the incident, while investigations continue to determine the precise causes of the residential building’s collapse.
