Dr. Al-Wali Al-Alami, an emergency physician at Al Ghassani Regional Hospital in Fès, shared exclusive details with Fès News about the tragic collapse of a three-story house in the city, which resulted in multiple casualties and injuries.
Dr. Al-Alami stated that the hospital received five victims from the incident, all of whom are alive and currently in stable condition. “Among the cases we received are a father and his two children. The father has sustained fractures in five ribs on his left side, but his respiratory condition is stable,” he explained, confirming that the patient is under close medical observation.
He added that comprehensive tests, including CT scans, were performed on the other injured individuals due to head trauma. So far, none of the cases require surgical intervention, although medical monitoring continues to ensure their stability.
Regarding those who lost their lives, Dr. Al-Alami said, “Unfortunately, five people died as a result of the collapse. May God have mercy on their souls and grant them eternal peace. We extend our heartfelt condolences to their families and pray that they find strength in this difficult time.”
Dr. Al-Alami also noted that rescue teams are still working tirelessly to locate one individual believed to be trapped under the rubble, expressing hope that the person will be found alive. “We are awaiting updates and praying for a positive outcome.”
As for the other injuries, the doctor confirmed that necessary care was provided to those with bruises and minor wounds, including stitches for a small child with superficial cuts. He reassured that the condition of all the injured is stable and that no cases required transfer to other hospitals.
