An earthquake was recorded on Tuesday afternoon in the Three Niyaqub region, located in the Al-Haouz province, with a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale, according to the National Institute of Geophysics.
The earthquake occurred at 12:21 PM, with its epicenter located at a depth of 11 kilometers, according to the preliminary data released by the institute.
In this context, international earthquake monitoring centers confirmed the tremor, noting that the region experienced a noticeable shake, which caused panic among the local population.
Many citizens shared their feelings about the earthquake through posts on social media, as the area is still recovering from the violent earthquake that struck on September 8, 2023, which resulted in significant human and material losses.
As of now, no material or human damage has been reported from this new seismic event.
