Meknes – Elements of the Anti-Gang Squad of the Meknes Police Prefecture successfully arrested a 20-year-old man with a criminal record on Wednesday evening, April 30th, on suspicion of his involvement in a case related to acts of violence and the possession of a white weapon in circumstances that threaten the safety of individuals and property.
This arrest followed a complaint filed with the police services in the city of Meknes by an individual accusing the suspect of assault, violence, and threats involving the use of a white weapon. These criminal acts were the subject of a video clip widely circulated on social media platforms, prompting the security services to open an urgent judicial investigation.
The intensive investigations and inquiries conducted by the Anti-Gang Squad led to the identification and arrest of the suspect on Wednesday evening.
A security source stated that the suspect has been placed in police custody under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to deepen the investigation with him, uncover all the circumstances, details, and backgrounds of this case, and determine all the criminal acts attributed to him.
This operation comes within the framework of the continuous efforts exerted by the National Security services in Meknes to combat crime in all its forms and ensure the safety and security of citizens.
