On Wednesday, Nasser Bourita, Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, received Mohammed Ali Tamim, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning of the Republic of Iraq, acting as a special envoy of Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid. The meeting was held under the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The meeting, part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation and consultation between the two countries, was dedicated to delivering an official letter to His Majesty the King. The letter includes an invitation from the Iraqi President to participate in the 34th session of the Arab Summit, scheduled to take place in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, on May 17, 2025.
This invitation comes as part of Iraq’s preparations to ensure the success of the summit, which is expected to address major political, economic, and security issues impacting the future of the Arab region and aims to reinforce joint Arab action.
