The Mohammedia Prefecture has confirmed that the video circulating on some websites and social media accounts, which falsely claims to document a criminal gang attack on a public transport bus coming from Mohammedia towards Casablanca, is inaccurate and completely untrue.
The prefecture explained that the events depicted in the video relate to a dispute between a number of individuals, including minors, who were on board the bus. This dispute escalated into an exchange of stone-throwing after they disembarked from the bus at one of the stations, resulting in three windows being broken.
The Royal Gendarmerie intervened immediately, and were able to arrest three people, including minors, and place them in custody for the purposes of the investigation which is being carried out under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor.
