Rabat: Recent security and judicial investigations have revealed organic criminal connections between Mehdi Hijjawi, a former and dismissed employee of the foreign intelligence services currently evading Moroccan justice abroad, and TikTok influencer Hicham Guerandou, who is wanted by the Moroccan judiciary in cases of fraud, swindling, defamation, and blackmail.
Informed sources indicate that the investigations conducted by the National Brigade of the Judicial Police concluded that Mehdi Hijjawi was responsible for providing logistical support and financial backing to Hicham Guerandou. According to these sources, this support was in exchange for exploiting Guerandou’s services in defamation and blackmail operations targeting national figures and public institutions.
The same sources further clarified that security and judicial investigations confirmed that Mehdi Hijjawi had previously provided numerous free travel tickets to Hicham Guerandou and his family members to facilitate his various international movements across multiple destinations and foreign trips, including his travels to Turkey, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
