Fes News has learned from its sources that the city of Fes hosted a special ceremony yesterday, where 154 graduates received diplomas from the “Kafaa” Program, which aims to validate the professional experience of tourism sector workers. This program is an essential tool for recognizing the skills of workers in the tourism industry who did not follow a traditional educational path but instead relied on their diverse hands-on experience.
The ceremony was attended by several prominent figures in the tourism sector, and the graduates, whose professions ranged from hotel management, catering, reception staff, to waiters, were honored for their contributions.
Mustafa Abu Dina, the reception office manager at a hotel, expressed: “This diploma represents the culmination of a long professional journey, and we take pride in our contribution to the advancement of the tourism sector.” Mohamed El Tazi, the official in charge of implementing the professional experience validation project in Fes and Agadir, emphasized that the program “aims to recognize the skills of tourism professionals and enhance the competitiveness of Moroccan tourism.”
For her part, Ghaytha Ben Boujida, the program manager, stated, “Morocco is preparing for several global events, the most important being the World Cup, and we are here to support local skills and talents in the Fes-Meknes region.”
The event concluded with a reaffirmation of the program’s importance in supporting and developing the tourism sector, which is one of the cornerstones of the national economy, and it served as an additional motivation for professionals to continue striving for excellence and development.
