Border arrivals reached nearly 2.7 million tourists by the end of February, marking a 24% increase compared to 2024, with an additional 521,000 arrivals, driven by strong performances in key source markets, announced the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy.
Morocco continues to shine on the international tourism scene with record performances for the second consecutive month of 2025, the ministry noted in a statement.
In February, border arrivals reached nearly 1.4 million, recording a remarkable increase of 22%, or an additional 248,000 entries compared to February 2024, according to the same source.
This momentum is driven by both foreign tourists, up 18% (+119,000 entries), and Moroccans residing abroad, who increased by 26% (+130,000 entries).
“Half a million additional visitors in just two months is a figure that speaks for itself. This confirms that Morocco has its place among the world’s top destinations,” said Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy.
“Every visitor who chooses Morocco directly contributes to the economic growth of our regions, job creation, and youth integration. This is a winning dynamic for the entire ecosystem and proof that Morocco’s tourism strategy under the Leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI continues to bear fruit,” Ammor emphasized.
