Official: Saudi Arabia Announces Saturday as the First Day of Ramadan

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has officially declared that Saturday, March 1, 2025, marks the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, following the confirmed sighting of the crescent moon at accredited observatories.

The Supreme Court had earlier called for moon sighting on Friday evening, urging anyone who observed it—whether with the naked eye or telescopes—to report their sighting to the nearest court for verification.
