The Ministry of Health and Social Protection has recommended that Moroccan pilgrims take the spinal cord vaccine, despite the Saudi health authorities’ decision to suspend its compulsory use for those wishing to perform the Umrah pilgrimage.
In an official statement, the ministry explained that the vaccine remains effective in preventing meningitis, making it an important precautionary measure to preserve the health of pilgrims.
The ministry also stressed that the vaccine is available at accredited health centers in all regions and provinces of the Kingdom, where those interested can view the list of these centers on the website of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, to ensure easy access to it before traveling.
