President of the Fes-Meknes Handicrafts Chamber Visits Chouara Tannery, Pledges to Improve Working Conditions

As part of his ongoing field visits to support the handicrafts sector, Mr. Naji Al-Fakhari, President of the Fes-Meknes Chamber of Handicrafts, visited the Chouara Tannery on Sunday, January 26. The tannery is one of the most iconic artisanal landmarks in the region.

During the visit, Mr. Al-Fakhari closely examined the conditions under which traditional artisans work and highlighted the significant challenges they face, particularly the lack of essential equipment and tools. He also stressed the urgent need for protective clothing to ensure workers’ safety and enhance productivity.
