On New Year’s Eve, Fes witnessed intense and precautionary efforts by the Royal Gendarmerie to ensure the safety of citizens and revelers. In this regard, personnel from the Regional Gendarmerie Command in Fes were tasked with securing the city’s entry and exit points through judicial checkpoints, focusing on critical areas with heavy traffic, such as the toll station on the highway and the Oulad Tayeb roundabout. These locations were among the areas closely monitored by the Royal Gendarmerie, with specially trained dog units deployed to effectively inspect vehicles and suspicious cars.
