Mustapha Baitas, the government spokesperson, affirmed during a press conference held yesterday after the government council meeting that the revision of the Family Code is a direct response to the clear royal directives announced by His Majesty King Mohammed VI. He emphasized that the directives aim to uphold principles of justice, equality, and solidarity as the foundation for this reform, and the government is committed to implementing these changes within a reasonable timeframe while ensuring a precise formulation aligned with the established references and principles.
Baitas also highlighted that the working session chaired by His Majesty underscored the importance of involving all concerned parties in the process. He further stressed the need for transparent communication with the public to ensure clarity regarding the reform’s objectives and implementation mechanisms.
