The draw for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup has placed Wydad Athletic Club in Group G alongside English giants Manchester City, Italian powerhouse Juventus, and UAE’s Al Ain. This group is considered one of the most prominent, promising intense and exciting matches in the new format of the tournament.
This edition of the FIFA Club World Cup witnesses radical changes, as it will be held with the participation of 32 teams for the first time in its history. The participating teams are distributed as follows: 12 teams from Europe, 6 teams from South America, 4 teams from Africa, 4 teams from Asia, 4 teams from North America, and one team from Oceania.
The tournament is scheduled to take place in the United States of America during the period from June 15 to July 13, 2025. This edition will be a golden opportunity for African clubs, including Wydad Athletic Club, to showcase their abilities against the elite global clubs and compete for the title.
