A parliamentary question session witnessed tensions between Interior Minister Abdel Wafi Laftit and session chair Zaina Adhali, after she interrupted his presentation before completing the government’s measures to support citizens in rural and mountainous areas.
Laftit was in the process of presenting the government’s plan to help one million citizens face the severe cold wave when he was prevented from completing his presentation due to time constraints.
The minister expressed his dissatisfaction, emphasizing the need for flexibility in time management to enable the government to present its solutions, stating: “Nothing will happen if we add one or two minutes.”
Conversely, the session chair strictly adhered to the time regulations, raising questions about the appropriateness of allocating more time for urgent humanitarian issues.
