His Majesty the King Receives Prime Minister and Members of the Newly Restructured Government

Rabat, October 23, 2024 – His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, received on Wednesday 19 Rabi’ al-Thani 1446 AH, corresponding to October 23, 2024, at the Throne Room in the Royal Palace in Rabat, the Prime Minister and members of the government in its new formation following the restructuring of the governmental organization.

The new government formation includes 31 members, led by Mr. Aziz Akhannouch as Prime Minister, alongside 19 ministers, 5 delegate ministers, and 6 state secretaries.

Among the notable new appointments:

Mr. Abdelouafi Laftit as Minister of Interior
Mr. Nasser Bourita as Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates
Mrs. Nadia Fettah as Minister of Economy and Finance
Mr. Mohammed Saad Berrada as Minister of National Education, Primary Education and Sports
The new ministers took their oath before His Majesty the King, and a commemorative photo was taken of the government members with His Majesty.

The reception ceremony was attended by His Majesty’s Chamberlain, Mr. Sidi Mohammed Alaoui.

These governmental changes come as part of strengthening governmental effectiveness and improving the performance of ministerial institutions to serve the kingdom’s higher interests.
