The Moroccan national football team, the “Atlas Lions”, is preparing to play two important matches as part of the qualifying campaign for the 2025 African Cup of Nations, which will be held in the Kingdom of Morocco.
The Moroccan team will face the Central African Republic on October 12th and 15th. These matches will be part of the 3rd and 4th rounds of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers and will take place at the sports complex in the city of Oujda.
The Moroccan team currently tops Group B with two wins and will aim to consolidate their position during these confrontations. Coach Walid Regragui’s players had previously defeated Gabon (4-1) and Lesotho (1-0) in the first two rounds.
Meanwhile, the Central African Republic will seek to take advantage of these two matches to revive their campaign. The Wild Beasts of Bas-Oubangui currently occupy the second place in the group, level on points with Gabon with a win and a loss.
The Moroccan national team will have to leave the Agadir stadium, where they were accustomed to playing, and move to the Oujda stadium. They will also have to deal with several absences, particularly that of Brahim Diaz, as well as uncertainties regarding the strategy to be adopted.
