King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences and compassion to the President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, following the death of his nephew, Rida Ata Abbas, Deputy Director General of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency.
In this message, the King expressed his deep sorrow and immense sadness upon learning of the death of the Palestinian President’s nephew, Rida Ata Abbas. The King prayed that God would surround him with His holy mercy.
In these painful circumstances, the King conveyed to Abbas, and through him to the family of the deceased and all his friends and loved ones, his heartfelt condolences and sincere compassion for the loss of a distinguished personality known for his dedication to strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and solidarity between the Moroccan and Palestinian peoples.
The King also recalled the great human qualities of the late Rida Ata Abbas, as well as his dedication and commitment in the various positions he held, notably as Deputy Director General of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, which enjoys the King’s high solicitude and care. The King noted that the deceased had genuine affection and esteem for his second country, Morocco.
“Sharing in your sorrow at this painful loss, and acknowledging the inevitability of God’s will, we pray to the Almighty to grant you patience and comfort, and to bestow the highest rewards upon the deceased for his commendable actions and services to his homeland,” the King wrote.
In his message, the King also prayed to the Almighty to protect the Palestinian President from all misfortune, to grant him continued health and a long life, so that he may continue his sincere efforts to achieve the aspirations of the brave Palestinian people for progress and prosperity in peace, freedom, and independence.
