Beni Mellal, Morocco – A devastating traffic accident occurred on Tuesday in the municipality of Oulad Yaich on the road connecting Beni Mellal to Kasbat Tadla.
According to a source from the news site “Le Site Info”, a passenger bus traveling from Casablanca to Beni Mellal collided with a light vehicle. The accident resulted in two fatalities and 54 injuries.
Upon receiving the alert, authorities rushed to the scene of the tragedy and transferred the bodies to the morgue of the Beni Mellal Regional Hospital for autopsy. The injured were also evacuated to the emergency department to receive necessary medical care.
The competent authorities have opened an investigation under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor’s office to determine the exact circumstances of this unfortunate accident.
It’s worth noting that this incident once again highlights the importance of enhancing road safety on Moroccan roads, especially in areas that experience heavy traffic of buses and public transport vehicles.
