Morocco – Officers of the Tangier Prefectural Judicial Police, in coordination with the services of the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, arrested on Wednesday afternoon, September 16, a 22-year-old Swedish national who was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by the Swedish judicial authorities over suspected involvement in a case related to attempted premeditated murder.
The suspect was arrested in Tangier, where an identity check revealed that he was internationally wanted under a Red Notice issued by the International Criminal Police Organization “Interpol,” at the request of the Swedish judicial authorities, over his suspected connection to a case involving attempted premeditated murder.
During the process of verifying his identity, the individual was also arrested in flagrante delicto for assuming a false identity and forgery, after presenting a driving license containing falsified identification details.
The detainee was placed in police custody at the disposal of the judicial investigation being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the circumstances and details of the forgery and its use, as well as to establish the various acts attributed to him in this regard.
In parallel, the National Central Bureau “Interpol Rabat,” operating under the General Directorate of National Security, was tasked with notifying its Swedish counterpart of the arrest of the Swedish national, as part of procedures related to international security and judicial cooperation.
The arrest comes within the framework of the Moroccan security services’ activation of international security cooperation mechanisms, particularly those concerning the pursuit and arrest of individuals wanted internationally over suspected involvement in cases linked to transnational crime, in accordance with the applicable legal procedures and provisions.
La police nationale interpelle à Tanger un ressortissant suédois recherché au niveau international par une notice rouge d’Interpol
Maroc – Les éléments du Service préfectoral de la police judiciaire de Tanger, en coordination avec les services de la Direction générale de la surveillance du territoire, ont procédé, dans l’après-midi du mercredi 16 septembre courant, à l’interpellation d’un ressortissant suédois âgé de 22 ans, faisant l’objet d’un mandat d’arrêt international émis par les autorités judiciaires suédoises, pour son implication présumée dans une affaire liée à une tentative de meurtre avec préméditation.
Le suspect a été interpellé à Tanger, où la vérification de son identité dans les bases de données a révélé qu’il était recherché au niveau international en vertu d’une notice rouge émise par l’Organisation internationale de police criminelle « Interpol », à la demande des autorités judiciaires suédoises, pour son lien présumé avec une affaire de tentative de meurtre avec préméditation.
Lors de la vérification de son identité, l’intéressé a également été interpellé en flagrant délit d’usurpation d’une fausse identité et de falsification, après avoir présenté un permis de conduire comportant des données d’identification falsifiées.
Le mis en cause a été placé en garde à vue à la disposition de l’enquête judiciaire menée sous la supervision du parquet compétent, afin de déterminer les circonstances et les tenants de l’affaire de falsification et de son utilisation, ainsi que d’établir les différents actes qui lui sont reprochés dans ce cadre.
Parallèlement, le Bureau central national « Bureau Interpol Rabat », relevant de la Direction générale de la sûreté nationale, a été chargé d’informer son homologue suédois de l’interpellation du ressortissant suédois, dans le cadre des procédures liées à la coopération sécuritaire et judiciaire internationale.
Cette interpellation intervient dans le cadre de l’activation par les services de sécurité marocains des mécanismes de coopération sécuritaire internationale, notamment en ce qui concerne la recherche et l’interpellation de personnes faisant l’objet de recherches internationales pour leur implication présumée dans des affaires liées à la criminalité transnationale, conformément aux procédures et dispositions légales en vigueur.
