Rabat – La République arabe syrienne a réaffirmé, jeudi, son soutien à l’intégrité territoriale du Royaume du Maroc et à sa souveraineté pleine et entière sur l’ensemble de son territoire, parallèlement à l’annonce officielle de la réouverture de l’ambassade de Syrie à Rabat, dans une démarche reflétant le réchauffement des relations bilatérales entre les deux pays.
Rabat – The Syrian Arab Republic reaffirmed on Thursday its support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco and its full sovereignty over all its territories, alongside the official announcement of the reopening of the Syrian embassy in Rabat, in a move reflecting renewed warmth in bilateral relations between the two countries.

La position syrienne a été exprimée dans un communiqué conjoint publié à l’occasion de la visite de travail officielle effectuée au Maroc par le ministre syrien des Affaires étrangères et des Expatriés, Assaad Hassan Al-Shibani, dans lequel la Syrie a affirmé son respect total pour l’intégrité territoriale du Maroc et salué la résolution 2797 du Conseil de sécurité relative à la question du Sahara marocain, la considérant comme une étape importante vers une solution politique durable à ce différend régional.
The Syrian position was expressed in a joint statement issued during the official working visit to Morocco by Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Assaad Hassan Al-Shibani, in which Syria affirmed its full respect for Morocco’s territorial integrity and praised United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797 regarding the Moroccan Sahara issue, considering it an important step toward a lasting political solution to the regional dispute.

Cette visite, la première du genre pour un responsable syrien depuis plusieurs années, intervient à la tête d’une importante délégation officielle, avec pour objectif de donner un nouvel élan aux relations maroco-syriennes et de renforcer la coopération bilatérale entre les deux pays.
This visit, the first of its kind by a Syrian official in several years, is being carried out at the head of a high-level official delegation with the aim of giving new momentum to Moroccan-Syrian relations and strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Dans ce contexte, la capitale Rabat a accueilli jeudi la cérémonie de réouverture de l’ambassade de la République arabe syrienne, après que le ministre syrien a hissé le drapeau syrien au siège de la mission diplomatique, en présence du ministre des Affaires étrangères, de la Coopération africaine et des Marocains résidant à l’étranger, Nasser Bourita.
In this context, the capital Rabat hosted on Thursday the reopening ceremony of the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic after the Syrian minister raised the Syrian flag at the diplomatic mission headquarters in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita.

Le responsable syrien a déclaré, lors de cette cérémonie, que la réouverture de l’ambassade revêt une portée politique et symbolique importante et reflète la volonté de la “nouvelle Syrie” d’ouvrir une nouvelle page avec le Maroc fondée sur la confiance, la solidarité et le respect mutuel, tout en exprimant l’ambition de développer le partenariat bilatéral dans plusieurs domaines.
During the ceremony, the Syrian official stated that reopening the embassy carries major political and symbolic significance and reflects the desire of the “new Syria” to open a new chapter with Morocco based on trust, solidarity, and mutual respect, while expressing his country’s aspiration to develop bilateral partnership in several fields.

Le ministre syrien a également salué ce qu’il a qualifié de positions “constantes et honorables” du Royaume du Maroc, sous la conduite du Roi Mohammed VI, envers le peuple syrien, ainsi que le soutien du Maroc aux aspirations des Syriens à la liberté, à la stabilité et au développement.
The Syrian minister also praised what he described as the “consistent and honorable” positions of the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, toward the Syrian people, as well as Morocco’s support for Syrians’ aspirations for freedom, stability, and development.

De son côté, Nasser Bourita a exprimé la satisfaction du Maroc quant à la réouverture de l’ambassade syrienne à Rabat, considérant cette étape comme un indicateur concret de la reprise des relations normales entre les deux pays, après la réouverture de l’ambassade marocaine à Damas en 2025 sur instructions royales.
For his part, Nasser Bourita expressed Morocco’s satisfaction with the reopening of the Syrian embassy in Rabat, considering the move a practical indicator of the resumption of normal relations between the two countries, following the reopening of the Moroccan embassy in Damascus in 2025 under royal instructions.

Le ministre marocain a réaffirmé l’attachement du Royaume à l’unité, à la souveraineté et à la stabilité de la Syrie, tout en soulignant la volonté du Maroc d’accompagner la phase de transition que traverse le pays à travers un soutien fondé sur la coopération, le dialogue et la solidarité, au service des intérêts des deux peuples frères.
The Moroccan minister reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and stability, while stressing Morocco’s readiness to support the country’s transitional phase through cooperation, dialogue, and solidarity in the interest of the two brotherly peoples.
