The National Judicial Police Brigade Refers Six Suspects to the Public Prosecutor in Casablanca over Cross-Border Criminal Network

At the end of this week, the National Judicial Police Brigade referred six individuals to the competent Public Prosecutor in Casablanca on suspicion of involvement in a cross-border criminal network engaged in theft and concealment of criminal proceeds resulting from an armed robbery carried out on French soil.

An official security source told “Assabah” that technical investigations and field inquiries led to the seizure of 31 mobile phones obtained from the robbery, which targeted a commercial store belonging to a mobile phone distribution company in France last February.

The same source stated that security operations also resulted in the arrest of traders in Marrakech and Rabat, along with four other suspects involved in the possession, smuggling, and sale of stolen phones, as well as the seizure of other electronic equipment of suspicious origin.

All detainees were brought before the competent Public Prosecutor following the completion of investigations in a case that falls within the framework of close security cooperation and ongoing coordination between the General Directorate of National Security in Morocco and its French counterpart.
