King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolence and sympathy to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, following the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
In this message, the King expressed his deep sorrow and profound grief upon learning of the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, praying to the Almighty to surround him with His holy mercy and grant him a place in His vast paradise.
On this painful occasion, the Sovereign extended his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the Nigerian President, the family of the deceased, and the brotherly Nigerian people, who have lost with the passing of the late Buhari one of their devoted sons who dedicated his life and worked selflessly in service of the supreme interests of his country, contributing to its development, progress, and prosperity. The King prayed that the Almighty grant President Tinubu patience and comfort.
“While sharing your sorrow over this cruel loss, I recall with appreciation the working meetings with the late president, which resulted in the launch of promising joint development projects that laid the foundations for a new phase in the close friendship and cooperation between the two brotherly countries,” the King wrote in his message.
