Fez, Wednesday, July 9, 2025 – Following a complaint from residents of Hay Al-Fath neighborhood within the administrative jurisdiction of Zouaga, reporting that a person suffering from mental disturbances was throwing cups, glass bottles, and stones at passersby, posing a danger to public safety, local authorities and security forces intervened to contain the situation.
Authorities attempted to persuade the individual to leave his apartment and receive medical treatment, but he locked himself inside and refused to cooperate. After consulting the competent public prosecutor’s office, the decision was made to forcibly enter the apartment to apprehend him.
In a coordinated operation involving the Zouaga administrative authorities and their assistants, the neighborhood chief, auxiliary forces, civil protection personnel, and officers from Police District 18, the apartment door was broken down and the individual was arrested despite his unsuccessful attempts to escape.
Residents expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the local and security authorities, auxiliary forces, and civil protection teams for their swift and effective intervention to ensure the safety and security of the community.
