The Municipality of Fes announced in an official statement dated June 18, 2025, the opening of a public consultation period regarding the draft urban development plan for the Akdal district (including the plan and zoning regulations), which has been deposited at the municipality’s headquarters.
The statement specified that the consultation period will last for one month, starting from Monday, June 30, 2025, until Tuesday, July 29, 2025. A file and a special register will be made available to the public at the municipality’s office during official working hours to enable citizens and interested parties to review the project details and submit their comments and suggestions.
Abdessalam El Bakali, President of the Fes Municipal Council, emphasized that this initiative is part of efforts to enhance transparency and involve residents in the preparation and monitoring of urban development projects, aiming to meet citizens’ aspirations and achieve balanced urban growth in the city.
The Akdal district urban development plan is part of the municipality’s broader efforts to improve urban infrastructure and quality of life, in line with the city’s developmental vision for the coming years.
