Fes News has received unconfirmed reports stating that the Oued Akrach Bridge, located at the exit leading to Rabat on the highway, witnessed a serious incident in the early hours of last Wednesday morning, where unknown individuals threw stones at passing vehicles.
According to a report from one of the tourist transport drivers, the incident occurred around 1 a.m., when the front windshield of his vehicle was cracked and damaged while he was transporting a group of foreign tourists. The incident caused panic among the drivers in the area.
The same reports indicate that the Royal Gendarmerie arrived at the scene shortly after being notified of the event. They initiated legal procedures and opened an investigation into the matter, while working to secure the area around the bridge.
In this context, several drivers have called for increased security monitoring at such black spots, especially at the entrances and exits of the capital, to prevent the recurrence of such attacks that could lead to serious accidents.
