Moroccan Actor Mohamed Choubi Passes Away After Long Battle with Illness

Moroccan actor Mohamed Choubi passed away on the morning of Friday, May 2, 2025, at the age of 62, after a long and painful battle with illness. He took his last breath at a private clinic where he had been receiving treatment.

According to consistent reports from artistic sources, including actress Latifa Ahrar, Choubi died in the early hours of the morning after being bedridden for weeks due to complications from a serious illness. He had previously been transferred to the military hospital in Rabat, amid public appeals for a liver donor.

The late actor is considered one of the icons of Moroccan art, with a distinguished career in theater, television, and cinema. He left behind a rich and diverse artistic legacy, and was widely loved by both his audience and fellow artists.
