The national road linking Guelmim and Tan-Tan witnessed a terrifying incident on Saturday morning, March 29th, as a public transport bus carrying a number of passengers caught fire.
According to local sources, the bus suddenly burst into flames, forcing passengers to evacuate immediately before the flames spread and consumed the vehicle.
The sources did not disclose the causes of the fire, pending the results of the investigation launched by the security authorities to uncover the circumstances of the incident.
This incident comes at a time when roads are experiencing heavy traffic, coinciding with the approach of Eid al-Fitr, which increases pressure on public transport.
