A number of affected residents said that this parliamentarian is not new to such tactics, as he had previously exploited similar files at previous stages to appear as a sole mediator between citizens and the authorities, which some of them considered a kind of political blackmail to pressure the workers and strengthen his influence in the region.
One citizen pointed out that the real goal behind these protests is not to defend the interests of the population, but rather to try to impose the parliamentarian himself as the main interlocutor in these files, which is rejected by many citizens who stressed that they are not ready to engage in movements that do not serve their real interests.
The situation today is different, as the authorities are dealing with these files strictly, rejecting any kind of political exploitation or turning development issues into pressure cards to achieve personal gains, according to identical testimonies.
Sources within the commission explained that the territorial administration is working to open direct channels of communication with the population to ensure that files are handled according to transparent legal procedures without the need for opportunistic political mediation.
This development comes at a time when several areas in the Moulay Yacoub region are undergoing economic and social transformations that require serious cooperation between various actors to achieve real development instead of turning citizens’ issues into tools for political bargaining.
