The city of Tangier was shaken, on Saturday, by the tragic disappearance of a TikTok celebrity, after he set himself on fire and jumped into the sea, as part of a dangerous challenge he was documenting with his brother and his friend.
According to preliminary data, the young man, who is known for providing content based on pranks and exciting challenges, jumped from one of the beaches of Mergala near the port of Bougaz, but the force of the waves swept him away quickly, which led to his disappearance from sight.
Until now, Moroccan authorities and civil protection teams are continuing search operations, using rescue boats and diving teams, in an attempt to find him and retrieve him from the sea.
The security authorities also launched an extensive investigation with witnesses, including his brother and friends, to uncover all the circumstances of the incident, amid increasing calls to raise awareness of the dangers of dangerous challenges that have spread on social media platforms, and have threatened the lives of young people.
