The fate of the Moroccan women’s futsal team was determined following the draw held on Thursday in Cairo, which placed Morocco in Group A alongside Cameroon and Namibia for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for women’s futsal.
Draw Details:
This tournament, which marks the first edition of the Women’s Futsal Africa Cup of Nations, will be held in Morocco from April 22 to 30, 2025. The draw divided the teams into three groups. Group B includes Angola, Egypt, and Guinea, while Group C consists of Madagascar, Tanzania, and Senegal.
Tournament Format:
The winners of each group, along with the best second-placed team, will advance to the semifinals. This tournament will also serve as a qualifying event for the 2025 FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup, scheduled to take place in the Philippines from November 21 to December 7 of the same year. Two African nations will secure their spots in this global tournament, which will feature 16 teams.
