Moroccan Referee Bouchra Karboubi Honored as Africa’s Best

Senior Police Inspector Bouchra Karboubi has been awarded the title of Best Female Referee in Africa for the year 2024 during the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards ceremony held on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech.

This accolade comes in recognition of Karboubi’s outstanding performance in officiating numerous important international matches, including African Cup of Nations and World Cup competitions.

Following this impressive achievement, Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, congratulated Bouchra Karboubi on her well-deserved honor. This congratulation serves as an acknowledgment of Karboubi’s significant efforts in the field of refereeing and encouragement for her to continue excelling and contributing to the sport.

It’s worth noting that this year’s CAF Awards ceremony presented 15 awards across various categories, honoring the best talents in African football, including players, coaches, and teams.
