The city of Fez is preparing to host a prestigious international sporting event, as the Regional Tourism Council (CRT) of Fez-Meknes region organizes its new edition of the Golf Cup during the period from November 17 to 21, 2024, featuring elite golf players from France, Spain, and Morocco.
This distinguished sporting event falls within the framework of the Regional Tourism Council’s strategy aimed at enhancing the region’s tourism status and showcasing its unique historical, cultural, and natural heritage.
This edition will witness the participation of an international delegation including players from France and Spain, confirming Fez-Meknes’ position as a preferred destination for golf. The competitions will be held across the “Royal Golf of Fez,” “Michlifen Golf Resort,” and “Royal Golf of Meknes,” combining high-level sports with the region’s distinctive historical and cultural setting.
Alongside the sporting competitions, a rich cultural and tourism program has been prepared for participants, including tourist tours and exploration of authentic Moroccan cuisine. A welcome tea ceremony will be organized on November 17 at 6:00 PM at the Royal Mirage Hotel, followed by a press conference.
This sporting event, along with the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup, is expected to contribute to enhancing the international prominence of the Fez-Meknes region and the Kingdom of Morocco as a leading global sports destination, under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him.
