A special dinner for the “Fashion Trust Arabia” event was held last Thursday evening at the Palais Badi in Marrakech, under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa and Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, as part of the Qatar-Morocco Cultural Year 2024 celebrations.
Sheikha Al-Mayassa, along with the event’s Vice President, Ms. Tania Faris, welcomed Princess Lalla Hasnaa, who reviewed a formation of auxiliary forces that saluted her.
The event was attended by numerous prominent figures, including the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social Economy, Fatima Zahra Ammor, and the Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid.
The Qatari Ambassador to Morocco, Abdullah bin Thamer Al Thani, the Wali of the Marrakech-Safi region, Mr. Farid Chouraq, and various local and regional officials were also present.
The evening included a special tour of an exhibition featuring the work of artist Tala Hdid, with a video summarizing key moments from “Fashion Trust Arabia,” highlighting the event’s efforts to support designers from the Middle East and North Africa and showcase local talents.
In a speech during the event, Dutch-Moroccan model Iman Hammam emphasized the pivotal role of this initiative in providing opportunities for designers and creatives.
She praised the city of Marrakech for embodying a fusion of culture and creativity, inspired by the modern vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which has influenced many designers and artists worldwide.
The event reflected the spirit of cultural collaboration between Qatar and Morocco, celebrating artistic diversity and innovation, with “Fashion Trust Arabia” serving as a platform to enhance cultural communication and honor creativity between the two countries.
