The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued an orange-level weather alert, forecasting heavy thunderstorms with rainfall amounts ranging between 30 and 60 mm in the regions of Midelt, Tinghir, and Errachidia.
These conditions are expected from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
The Directorate also stated that these strong showers will extend to the provinces of Taounate, Taza, Tetouan, Beni Mellal, Ifrane, Khenifra, Boulemane, Sefrou, Azilal, Moulay Yacoub, Al Haouz, Al Hoceima, Ouarzazate, Chefchaouen, Fez, and Figuig from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Additionally, it was reported that Figuig, Jerada, Guercif, Taourirt, Boulemane, and Midelt will experience strong winds with speeds ranging between 70 and 85 km/h.
This orange-level warning is in effect today, Monday, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
