TUI Group Conference in Morocco: A Strategic Step to Enhance Tourism Between the Two Countries

The TUI Group’s international conference was held from September 26 to 28, featuring a gathering of top officials from the group.

This event is notable as the first of its kind to take place outside Europe, in collaboration with the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT). The conference brought together over 200 high-level officials from TUI.

The TUI Leaders Conference aims to empower managers and business leaders to exchange sales results, discuss joint projects, and keep abreast of the latest developments in the travel sector.

It also serves as an opportunity to share ideas and insights about the future of the group and its activities.

The conference opened with a speech by Fatima Zahra Amour, the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social Economy, and Solidarity, who welcomed the attendees and praised Morocco’s potential as a destination, as well as the strong historical ties with TUI Group.

On the sidelines of the conference, the minister held a meeting with Sebastian Eibel, a member of TUI Group’s Executive Board, and Thomas Ellerbeck, Director of External and Commercial Affairs.

The meeting highlighted the historic partnership signed between the German group and the ONMT in 2023, aiming to double the number of tourists visiting Morocco to reach half a million by 2028.

TUI Group is one of the leading tourism groups globally, attracting over 27 million tourists from 13 different markets and operating flights to more than 180 tourist destinations.

The group employs around 67,000 people in 130 countries and boasts a fleet of 150 aircraft, along with 61 cruise ships and over 400 hotels worldwide.
