Mr. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, a member of the General Secretariat of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), affirmed that the party’s Code of Ethics applies to all members without exception. He emphasized that everyone has committed to upholding this code to ensure transparency and adherence to the party’s internal regulations.
During a press conference held today, Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the party’s headquarters in Rabat, Bensaid stated that the party’s collective leadership is dedicated to moralizing political life, in line with the royal speeches that call for integrity in political activities.
He explained that the code, which was approved during the 28th session of the National Council, represents a decisive step in combating any actions that tarnish political and party work in the country, with the aim of strengthening trust between political parties and society.
Regarding the case of Mr. Salah Eddine Abou El Ghaly, Bensaid noted that the party had received complaints related to alleged violations of the party’s constitution, unrelated to public funds.
Despite four months of mediation efforts, there was no response from Mr. Abou El Ghaly, leading to the suspension of his membership pending the decision of the Ethics Committee.
