The 23rd edition of the National Festival of Ahidous, organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication in partnership with the Thaymat Association for Atlas Arts, the Fez-Meknes Region Council, and the Ain El Louh community, kicked off on Friday in Ain El Louh.
The festival will run until July 14, with the participation of about 37 artistic groups from different regions of the Kingdom.
The festival aims to celebrate the Amazigh component of Moroccan art and familiarize the public with the art of Ahidous and the specificities of the region through poetry and other expressions.
The festival also seeks to contribute to the promotion of the tourism sector in the region, by attracting visitors from across Morocco.
The activities of the festival include various artistic performances, theatrical shows, training workshops, scientific seminars, and an exhibition of handicrafts and traditional industries.
This edition of the festival is an important occasion to preserve this ancient art form and pass it on to future generations.
The activities of the festival have enjoyed a distinguished launch, with a large audience from different age groups.
