A number of certified accountants in the Fes Meknes region have issued a statement expressing their rejection of the “exclusionary” policy pursued by the regional council of the professional organization of certified accountants, and criticizing the successive violations issued by this council.
The statement accuses the regional council of a lack of communication with certified accountants since its election in November 2023, as it has not issued any publication or communiqué in its name.
According to the statement, the regional council exceeds the requirements of Articles 22, 36 and 37 of the bylaws that require it to submit the annual results, and collects the 2024 subscription dues in flagrant violation of the requirements of Article 26 of the bylaws, which gives the authority to determine and collect these dues to the National Council.
The statement criticized the “selective” policy followed by the regional council in extending invitations to attend the first communication meeting with certified accountants.
According to the statement, the regional council issued an invitation dated July 1, 2024 to invite the first communication meeting to be held on July 10, 2024, which the professionals considered a provocation.
