In a bizarre incident, a ram jumped from the 7th floor of a residential building in the Al-Hamama neighborhood of Tetouan city, just two days before the blessed Eid al-Adha, landing on a parked car below the building and causing material damage to the vehicle.
According to eyewitnesses, the ram, which belonged to one of the families residing in the building, took advantage of not being properly tied with a rope on a corner of the rooftop, jumping from the 7th floor and falling onto a private car whose driver was absent at the time of the incident, shattering the front windshield and denting the roof.
The ram, which its owner had purchased for 4,000 dirhams, did not escape unscathed, suffering a broken leg due to the fall. One of the butchers present at the scene rushed to slaughter it, fearing it might die from the impact of the fall.
Police in Tetouan launched an urgent investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, which raised many questions, particularly regarding safety and endangering the lives of citizens by placing some Eid rams on rooftops of houses and buildings and tying them with ropes in an improper manner.
Such bizarre incidents occur every year as Eid al-Adha approaches, with numerous stories and pictures circulating about accidents involving Eid rams attempting to escape on the streets or by jumping from balconies, rooftops of buildings and houses, and even from some cars.
