Rabat – La Bulgarie a annoncé ce mardi que l’initiative d’autonomie sous souveraineté marocaine constitue une solution viable pour le règlement du différend régional autour du Sahara marocain, dans une nouvelle position qui renforce la dynamique internationale en faveur de la proposition du Royaume, sous la conduite de Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI.
Cette position a été exprimée dans un communiqué conjoint publié à l’issue d’un entretien téléphonique entre la ministre bulgare des Affaires étrangères, Velislava Petrova-Chamova, et son homologue marocain, Nasser Bourita.
Se référant à la résolution 2797 du Conseil de sécurité des Nations unies, la Bulgarie a affirmé qu’« une véritable autonomie sous souveraineté marocaine pourrait constituer une solution viable à ce différend ».
Sofia a également souligné qu’elle considère l’Initiative marocaine d’autonomie, présentée en 2007, comme une base sérieuse, crédible et réaliste pour parvenir à une solution politique juste, durable et mutuellement acceptable à la question du Sahara marocain.
Cette prise de position s’inscrit dans le cadre du renforcement des relations bilatérales entre le Maroc et la Bulgarie et reflète l’élargissement du soutien international à l’initiative marocaine, dans le cadre de la dynamique diplomatique menée par Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI en faveur de l’intégrité territoriale du Royaume et de la consolidation de la reconnaissance internationale de la marocanité du Sahara et du plan d’autonomie.

La position bulgare constitue ainsi un nouveau soutien à la proposition marocaine, qui continue de recueillir l’appui de nombreux partenaires au sein des instances régionales et internationales, en tant que cadre le plus sérieux, crédible et réaliste pour parvenir à un règlement de ce différend.
King Mohammed VI Strengthens Morocco’s Sahara Diplomacy as Bulgaria Backs Autonomy Under Moroccan Sovereignty as a Viable Solution
Rabat – Bulgaria announced on Tuesday that the autonomy initiative under Moroccan sovereignty represents a viable solution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, marking a new position that reinforces growing international support for Morocco’s proposal under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The position was expressed in a joint statement issued following a phone conversation between Bulgarian Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova-Chamova and Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita.
In light of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797, Bulgaria stated that “genuine autonomy under Moroccan sovereignty could constitute a viable solution to this dispute.”
Sofia also reaffirmed that it considers Morocco’s 2007 Autonomy Initiative to be a serious, credible, and realistic basis for reaching a just, lasting, and mutually acceptable political solution to the Moroccan Sahara issue.
This position comes within the broader framework of strengthening bilateral relations between Morocco and Bulgaria and reflects the expanding international support for Morocco’s autonomy initiative as part of the diplomatic momentum led by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in defense of the Kingdom’s territorial integrity and the growing international recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara.
Bulgaria’s announcement adds to the increasing number of countries endorsing Morocco’s autonomy proposal, which continues to gain support in regional and international forums as the most serious, credible, and realistic framework for resolving the dispute.
