The Governor of Moulay Yacoub Province, within the framework of the National Initiative for Human Development and under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, launched a new fleet aimed at strengthening social services in the province. The fleet includes 13 school transport vehicles, three ambulances, and a mobile unit for maternal and child health, with the objective of supporting schooling and bringing healthcare services closer to residents—especially in rural areas.
According to the initial available information, this program forms part of efforts to support vulnerable groups and reduce territorial disparities. It seeks to facilitate students’ access to educational institutions and enhance safety and mobility conditions, while also improving emergency response and bringing maternal and child health follow-up services to areas that face difficulties accessing healthcare facilities.
The announced goals indicate that this fleet is expected to help ease daily mobility constraints between hamlets and rural communes, improve schooling indicators and combat dropout rates, and strengthen nearby health coverage through ambulances and the mobile unit.
