The security services of the Agadir Police Prefecture reacted swiftly and seriously to a video clip that circulated on social media platforms, documenting a group of minors climbing onto the roof of an urban public transport bus in a dangerous act that posed a serious threat to their own safety and that of other road users.
Investigations and field inquiries carried out in coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance led to the identification and arrest of one of the suspects on Saturday afternoon, December 27, in the city of Inezgane.
The apprehended minor, aged 17, was placed under judicial investigation conducted by the Inezgane Judicial Police under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office, in order to determine the circumstances and details of the case. Investigations are still ongoing to identify and arrest the remaining individuals involved.
This operation falls within the framework of the continuous efforts deployed by the services of the General Directorate of National Security and the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance to combat dangerous practices and behaviors, particularly digital content that threatens the safety and security of citizens.
